A good friend of mine recently decided that she would retire from her job. She’s had thoughts about this in the past, and I would tease her and suggest that she wasn’t going anywhere, plus what would I do without her? Well, now she is truly retiring and I’m happy for her. I told her that she has dedicated more than 30 years of public service, this is the reward. She mentioned that she still felt nervous even after finalizing her decision because she doesn’t know “what’s next” or what to expect, but she’s certain it’s time. My friend said she “just felt it.” AfterRead More →

You are where you are in life as a result of your response to GOD’s opportunities in your life. Read the Story of the beggar Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46. Bartimaeus was a blind beggar that sat on the side of the road in the resort town of Jericho. He had not seen Jesus or witnessed his miracles first-hand, but when he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was coming to town, he seized the opportunity and cried out to Jesus when he passed by him. Even when others chastised him and told him to be quiet, he continued to call out even louder because he knewRead More →

I even got a coach to keep me on task ya’ll. One of the assignments she gave me was figuring out what type of woman I am when comparing myself with the Bible women. I was a mix-up of many and I’ll talk about that in a later post. What I wanted to mention today is the biblical figurehead Ruth. Yo, like she’s so Dope right? I mean talk about Ride or Die?   The public celebration of women’s history in this country began in 1978 as “Women’s History Week” in Sonoma County, California. The week including March 8, International Women’s Day, was selected. In 1987, Congress expanded the celebration to a month, and March was declared Women’s History Month. We had the pleasure of connecting with some wonderful women already and can’t wait to share their stories! Be on the lookout for the March post on our GOODINKMAG Facebook and Instagram pages which will highlight theRead More →

It is GOD’s desire for you to use your gifts to fulfill HIS purpose to make a positive impact in the world. He’s given you all the tools you need. Author Paulo Coelho wrote The Alchemist in only two weeks in 1987 He explained he was able to write at this pace because the story was “already written in his soul.” As a writer I can understand this completely. I wrote my two children’s books in less than a day. I honestly believe that all the tools you need to fulfill certain goals reside in you already. God has gifted you everything you need toRead More →
