2017 is the year of “Getting Things Done!” All the previous years that we’ve spent planning, plotting and proposing goals… it is now time to ACTIVATE the plan. The key to this however is making sure that you are on the same page as the LORD. You can’t move ahead of HIM.
If you’ve been in the WORD and you’ve been allowing HIM to order your steps in relationship to your goals, then it is time to put this plan into action.
GOD told me years ago to “move” in my purpose of sharing HIS love through creative writing and communications. I started out strong initially, but over time like many, I became distracted and discouraged and eventually dropped the ball. I spent a few years wandering and wondering if I was even on the right path; was I doing what GOD wanted me to do.
I sought my answers in HIS word and HE gave me a one word answer…ACTION! I took that to mean put my goals and purpose in motion. The message today is to stop talking and start doing.
The following are verses to help you get on track with your goals GOD’s way:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
