You are where you are in life as a result of your response to GOD’s opportunities in your life. Read the Story of the beggar Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46.
Bartimaeus was a blind beggar that sat on the side of the road in the resort town of Jericho. He had not seen Jesus or witnessed his miracles first-hand, but when he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was coming to town, he seized the opportunity and cried out to Jesus when he passed by him. Even when others chastised him and told him to be quiet, he continued to call out even louder because he knew the opportunity for his healing was steps away and he had to seize it. It was critical that he act at that moment because there may not be another time.
The same goes for you and me. We have to stop sitting on our hands out of fear, passing opportunities by. We must seize the moment when we see it. When we act, and shut out the nagging voices of the naysayers, we move closer to the opportunity.
Sharpen your spiritual tools by spending time in the WORD. Look at the how GOD is working in the life of your friends or associates who are faithful in Christ as further example of opportunities seized.
Your level of praise and worship may lead to the breakthrough you’ve been seeking. You are capable of fulfilling whatever opportunity GOD set before you. Read James 1:17 to learn about our gifts, to we can be ready to seize the next opportunity.
